Rise at Divercity offers luxury residential apartments and urban retail frontage in the energetic inner-city suburb of Waterloo. However, combustible cladding on multiple building façades prompted extensive remediation.

Appointed as principal head contractor, Paynter Dixon Remedial oversaw the removal of cladding and the design, installation and certification of a replacement cladding solution. A comprehensive methodology was devised to provide access to multi-storey facades through elevated work platforms, fixed scaffolding, swinging stages and abseiling. Working in a live environment, Paynter Dixon Remedial constantly liaised with the facilities manager to flag work areas in advance and minimise disruption to residents. Design compliance for the replacement cladding was managed through the Design Building and Practitioners Act.
