With sweeping views of Sydney Harbour and Taronga Zoo, this heritage building has been revitalised through a complete façade upgrade. Working closely with the client, Paynter Dixon Remedial maximised natural light and outlook while improving thermal performance and wind protection.

The project replaced existing windows and spandrels with a high-performance glazing system, combining full-height glass with robust aluminium framing for durability and protection. Fire safety was enhanced through the installation of fire curtains and an automated system that closes windows and doors in an emergency. To improve site access, the team engineered a 25-metre bridge linking the street to the multi-storey scaffolding. Careful planning in a live environment ensured residents experienced minimal disruption throughout the works.
